The Mexican Institute of Industrial Property is a decentralized public agency with legal personality and its own assets and with the legal authority to administer the industrial property system in Mexico.
By registering your trademark in Mexico, not only does it become a valuable asset for your company, but it also gives you advantages to expand and create franchises. In all the classes in which you need to protect your trademark. If you handle products of the same line of business you may only need to register in one class, but if you have a variety of products or services of different lines of business you can enter in 2, 3 or even more classes.
Not necessarily, it would be advisable before launching your trademark into the world to protect it, but if it is not possible for you to make all the registrations, you can start with one and then protect your trademark in the next class, as long as it is available.

It consists of sending a document to IMPI to notify them that you are currently using your trademark. All trademarks whose registrations were granted after August 10, 2018 must send this document together with the payment of such notification, no later than 3 months after the completion of the 3 years, otherwise the registration will be lost.
If IMPI answered your application for registration with an official letter with any of these titles, it is very likely that you did not fill out your application correctly or you did not attach any of the documents required in the application. Remember that you have up to four months to respond to this official letter, and try to obtain your registration.
Each case is different, there are some cases where you can respond to IMPI this earlier, highlighting the differences of your trademark, with the trademarks already registered to grant you your Trademark Registration, in these cases, you only have two months to send such response with proof of payment as in the previous case.
No, both institutions are independent of each other. You can register your business with the SAT, but that does not mean that your trademark is protected, or you can register your business with the IMPI, without being registered with the SAT.
All persons owning the trademark, the registration can be requested by one person, up to two or more. Remember that if there are two or more persons, a representative must be assigned.
Yes you can, although we recommend that in the same registration application (mixed application) you protect your name (Denomination) and logo (Figure); otherwise you would pay double. In case you have already registered the name, you can file a new application, but now only to protect your figure.
